Founded in 1979, Acadian House Design + Renovation  designs and builds custom kitchens and baths throughout Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. Our staff includes accredited, award winning designers with years of experience whose main goal is to find solutions to your needs and desires. The result is distinctive, unique, and personal.


We have a team of carpenters, tile setters, countertop fabricators, plumbers, electricians, painters, and others who combine traditional top quality construction with new technologies to help you make your dream kitchen or bathroom come true.

KATHY + MIKE simoneaux 

FOUNDERS OF ACADIAN HOUSE KITCHEN + BATH

In 1979, Mike and Kathy Simoneaux founded Acadian House Design + Renovation to help families create beautiful kitchens and bathrooms. "It all started because we had a terrible experience renovating our own home," says Kathy. "We knew there had to be a better way!" The young couple worked tirelessly for their clients, handling every detail of design and construction, often with a baby on their hip. Kathy remembers, "Acadian House was one baby and our daughter, Angela, was the other."


Now there is a new baby on their daughter Angela's hip. Their third grandchild has arrived and he is a beauty! New owners Joey and Angela are excited about continuing the quality work at Acadian House Design + Renovation and building their own future. Mike and Kathy are excited to focus the attention to detail they are so known for into travel, relaxing and being the best grandparents in the world. We thank Mike and Kathy for  38 years of hard work. We know they remain close by to advise us as we continue to grow. We wish them much happiness in their retirement.
