Baton Rouge Kitchen and Bath Design: A Look into the Future

It’s never too early to start looking forward. Being two steps ahead is not only helpful in chess, but it goes a long way in many important decision-making scenarios. Whether it’s planning your retirement, organizing a vacation, or something as simple as planning your menu for the week, having a plan for what you’d like to do next can make all the difference. The same is true when comes to home renovation and design. If you are considering a kitchen or bathroom renovation in the near future, today’s trends can be helpful, but what is on the horizon? Let’s take a closer look.

Future Bathroom Renovation Trends

The evolution of bathroom design has seen many changes with the consistent development of technology and the use of this space. Whether your focus is on safety, relaxation, luxury, efficiency, or a combination of all of the above, there are new design principles and strategies that can create your vision.

A major focus going forward is going to be expanding the size and usable space of your bathroom. There is no reason your bathroom can’t be an elegant escape that gives you the comfort and space to begin and end your day. From saunas to larger bathtubs to adjoining powder rooms, space is the name of the game going forward in bathroom design. Curbless showers, garden tubs, vanity space, and enhanced lighting are all elements that can completely change the way you use and experience your bathroom.

Future Kitchen Renovation Trends

There are a few different ideas that will continue to gain traction in the kitchen. In any home, but especially in south Louisiana, the kitchen is the focal point. One trend that is gaining traction is the touchless faucet. Hands-free faucets reduce your contact with surfaces while also mitigating fingerprints, splashes, and other messes, hence creating more peace of mind as well as a healthier environment. These faucets are also more environmentally and economically efficient as they don’t let your water run when not in use.

A new, encouraged focus on dining areas is also changing the way we think of kitchens. From space for larger, functional tables indoors to making room for dining areas in an outdoor kitchen, these new considerations will drive the overall design of your space.

If you are beginning to think about a kitchen or bathroom renovation, you’ll want to be at least two steps ahead. These are only a few of the newest things to think about, but the expert design team at Acadian House Design + Renovation is here to help. For over 40 years Acadian House has been helping Baton Rouge homeowners create the space of their dreams.
