When Jonathan Richards and Jeremy Orgeron embarked on a complete home renovation, they knew they didn't have to look far for a design and construction team. "Acadian's reputation and their vision for my space were a great match for me and my home," says Richards.
While his initial goals were for the project to reflect his taste by adding modern, simple, and sophisticated design elements, all focusing on technology, those objectives changed as they got more into the process. "Once we started, I leaned more toward the modern style and added more technology than initially intended."
This project was indeed an entire home renovation. "It was a full home renovation. We did Jack and Jill bedrooms and bathrooms. Their primary bathroom, master bath, kitchen, and laundry room had a guest bathroom that we called the lounge bathroom because it's near a bedroom that they've turned into a lounge kind of media room. Then, there is the living room, two fireplaces, and the entire house. The foyer also had a beautiful transformation," remembers the Acadian House design team.
With so much going on, it would be difficult to pinpoint a favorite aspect. However, the design team and the client agreed on one space. "There are so many wonderful aspects of the renovation, but my primary bathroom suite has exceeded my expectations; it is stunning!" remarks Richards.
The primary bathroom was also a personal favorite among the Acadian House Designers. "The primary bathroom was completely transformed from the layout to the finishes. We had so many conversations about how they wanted it to feel when he walked into the space. He just wanted it to feel like it was just carved out, and that's basically what we did with the shower and tub. It has a very Earthy feeling in there, but it's also luxe simultaneously," says the Acadian House design staff.
The foyer was another aspect of the home that was completely reimagined and now makes a statement when you enter the house. "They had some exceptional finishes in the foyer. We chose an oversized lotus pattern for the wallpaper, and we paired that with a very different non-organic floor tile. It's very dramatic," says Acadian House
"I enjoyed creating a highly personalized space that fit my needs and style preferences." As for the design team, the challenge and execution are what they love the most. "Our main goal for each project is to ensure the client is happy with the result. You need to love your space. That's why we spend so much time with each client. Every space is beautiful and functional, but a happy homeowner is the most important thing."
