In 2016 Sydney Layne Jones began as an intern at Acadian House Design + Renovation. The next year she became an assistant designer. In this role, she stays busy, putting together pricing for clients based on square footage and cost research. Supporting lead designers and sending out bids are also her responsibility.
“I found myself at Acadian House from a classmate’s recommendation. Even though my interior design program at LSU was mainly commercial based, I’m so happy that I ended up here. I’m constantly learning more about the construction world, and I love it,” says Jones.
Each new project brings new challenges and unique problems, and Jones enjoys these challenges. “It’s interesting that each project is so different from the previous one. My favorite part is working on something that exists already in a home and transforming it into something that works even better for the client.”
